Liz is head of research at the What Works Centre for Children’s Social Care, seconded part time from the Department for Education. At the What Works Centre Liz oversees and coordinates the work of our research team, and sits on our senior management team.
Four days per week Liz leads the Behavioural Insights Unit in the Department for Education. Before joining DfE, she worked for Public Health England’s Behavioural Insights Team whilst finishing her PhD in Economics from Durham University. She has also worked at the Cabinet Office and Department of Health.
In her free time she loves live music and making unnecessary home ‘improvements’ to the flat she shares with her partner.
